Originally from Southern California, Murray Gusseck has been playing percussion since the age of 15 when he joined his high school marching band as a quad player. After a lengthy affair with marching band and drum corps drumming and teaching, he began focusing on his drum set playing. In 1998, he co-founded Tapspace Publications (Portland, OR) — a publishing company specializing in creative percussion music and the sample library Virtual Drumline.
Currently Murray manages Tapspace by day and plays drum with local Portland bands, Emulator, Spheric, and Asher Fulero Band, by night. He's happy to be able to combine his different percussive backgrounds in the Bridgetown Brass ensemble.
